Product Specialist - Paving




This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate Salesperson to join our team as our new Product Specialist - Paving.




Reporting to the Equipment Sales Manager - Construction, you will be primarily responsible for developing, managing and executing our Paving business plan, enabling us to achieve the objectives set within this market segment. 


As a product and industry specialist, you will actively represent William Adams, in selling new and used equipment to existing and new customers. This is a permanent full-time position based in our newly renovated Clayton office.


 Your key responsibilities and targets will include:

  • Account management for the assigned customer portfolio
  • To develop and introduce new customers to the dealership
  • Be pivotal in increasing awareness and Sales within the relevant Paving Group families (Asphalt Pavers, Road Reclaimers and Road Profilers)
  • Generate profitable sales of new and used equipment in line with revenue targets 
  • The development and implementation of a Go-To-Market strategy
  • Provide competitor insights across NPI, pricing and marketing strategies
  • Be actively engaged in the customer call frequency plan, ensuring customer coverage is regularly maintained 
  • Manage and prepare administrative tasks and reporting requirements 
  • Prepare professional responses to tenders or formal requests for quotations 



Ideally you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • In depth knowledge of the Caterpillar paving products
  • A passion to work in a Sales role within the earthmoving industry
  • Exemplary customer service, communications skills & ability to build rapport
  • A tenacious attitude that never gives up
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Instinctive and creative researching skills and ability to identify opportunities
  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of key applications such as CRM & Microsoft Office suite
