Inventory & Logistics Business Manager

This is an exciting multi-faceted opportunity for a high performing senior leader to join our successful Victorian and Tasmanian Earthmoving and Mobile Plant business.

Our significant sales growth forecasts will require a consistent and sustained customer focus, while identifying efficiency gains in many areas of our parts supply and distribution process.


This integral role reports directly to our General Manager – Product Support Services and is based in our newly renovated Clayton Head Office. You will have three direct reports whose overall responsibilities are to lead the broader team of 30+ experienced and dedicated individuals, across our Central Parts Distribution Centre and Used Parts Sales and Inventory teams.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic and operational management of the Central Distribution Centre (CDC) including inventory management
  • Strategically manage the transport logistics services for parts and warehousing across the Dealership
  • Develop and enhance systems, processes, and practices to optimise and support Sales to Users (STU) opportunities in line with our growth expectations
  • Operational management of the Used Parts business ensuring inventory levels are effectively managed to complement both Dealership and customer’s needs
  • Manage all aspects of the Parts Exchange program including inventory levels and repair options
  • Network optimisation to deliver operational costs efficiency gains to our business



Your strong business acumen and problem-solving skills, as well as your proven passion for continuous improvement, will see you excel in this role.


You pride yourself on being an excellent collaborator and you will ideally bring with you experience in inventory and logistics, systems warehousing, transportation and network optimisation and management.


To be successful in this role, ideally you will also have the following skills and attributes:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ in a similar senior leadership role
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to develop long term internal and external customer relationships
  • Sound conflict resolution, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Dedicated commitment to safety and quality work practices
  • Formal qualifications reflective of the role would be considered favourably
