Field Service Coordinator


A very exciting opportunity has become available for a Full Time Field Service Coordinator to join our busy Clayton Metro Field Services Team on a 7 days on, 7 days off rotating roster (working Wednesday - Tuesday, 6am to 6pm).





The objective of the Field Service Coordinator is to coordinate the service and repair of Caterpillar machinery to assist our technicians provide “front-line” support. Communication is absolutely paramount in this position to ensure high level company standards are always met, whilst providing the highest level of customer service and value for money for our valued customers.


A typical day in this role will include:

  • Managing a designated portfolio of clients across the Melbourne Metro region.
  • Booking and scheduling all service jobs for our technicians in the field.
  • Frequently liaising with our technicians for status reports to feed back to our customers.
  • Working directly with the Supervisors and Service Manager to ensure work planning is conducted smoothly.
  • Day to day invoicing and work in progress responsibilities.

 We are looking for a self-starter with the following attributes:

  • Excellent verbal communication and rapport-building skills.
  • Terrific listener with the ability to think on your feet.
  • Experience providing an empathetic approach with a calm disposition.
  • Proven conflict resolution abilities under pressure.
  • The skills to work in an office of fast changing priority.
  • Experience in earth-moving or automotive would be highly regarded (if you have a mechanical trade, even better).
  • Experience in the following computer systems DBS, SAP, QWB, Outlook, SIS, Cognos, ChemWatch would be highly regarded (not essential).
  • Must have strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Willing to go the extra mile to get a “winning” result for all.
