Service Manager


We are currently seeking an inspiring leader to take on the vital position of Service Manager of our Clayton Workshop. You will be a strong collaborator who thrives under pressure and is focused on our customer’s needs. 




Reporting to the Clayton Branch Manager, you will work with Service Supervisors and Coordinators, Contractors and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure that we deliver according to company and Cat quality standards and within agreed timeframes.


Key responsibilities of this role are to:

  • Deliver exceptional Customer Service to our valued customers
  • General workshop management and day-to-day operations
  • Maintain and drive safety awareness in line with company objectives
  • Manage commercial performance, market growth, and profitability
  • Development and care of one of our most important assets – our people.
  • Maintain the established Contamination Control culture




To be considered for this role we are looking for the following skills, experience & attributes:

  • Relevant trade qualification (Diesel Mechanic or similar)
  • Considerable experience within a similar role and/or industry
  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Proven ability to lead a team including apprentices to supervisors
  • Mechanical understanding/ comprehension of CAT products and services
  • Ability to anticipate and identify problems, develop a plan and implement solutions
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle a number of simultaneous tasks
  • Intermediate Microsoft office and knowledge or understanding of CAT applications
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain business relationships 
  • Be a passionate, resilient and self-motivated leader
