William Adams are currently on the lookout for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Diesel Technician to work out of our Laverton branch. This is a full-time permanent position, working a 5x2 (Monday to Friday) roster with Leave Loading, Allowances, Overtime and RDO's.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Reporting to the Service Supervisor, this role requires a strong mobile/heavy machinery background, excellent diagnostic skills and above average technical knowledge.

What a typical day in the role will look like:

• Carrying out service, repairs and maintenance of Cat equipment
• Assisting and being a mentor for the apprentices and service technicians
• Technical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills including diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on various Cat earthmoving equipment
• Compiling and completion of all paperwork relating to the completion of jobs
• Opening/closing and invoicing Service Work Orders
• Providing quality customer service at all times
• Back up to our Team Leaders as required

What skills and experience we are looking for:

• A fully qualified Diesel Technician with prior experience working on earthmoving equipment
• The ability to mentor, motivate and coach apprentices and technicians
• Understanding of computer systems, including Microsoft office
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Committed to delivering superior customer service
• A can-do positive attitude
• Effective time management and ability to work unsupervised
• A strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures
