Service Coordinator

A very exciting opportunity has become available for a Service Coordinator to join our busy Clayton Metro Field Services Team on a fulltime basis.




The objective of the Service Coordinator is to coordinate the service and repair of Caterpillar Power Systems products to assist our technicians in providing “front-line” support. Communication is paramount in this position to ensure our company standards are always met, whilst providing the highest level of customer service and value for money for our valued customers.


A typical day in this role will include:

  • Manage our Power Systems customers across Melbourne Metro
  • Plan and schedule all service jobs for our technicians in the field
  • Liaise with our technicians for status reports to provide updates to customers
  • Work directly with Service Supervisors and Managers to ensure planned work is conducted within agreed timeframes
  • Prepare invoices and work in progress responsibilities

 We are looking for a self-starter with the following attributes:

  • Excellent verbal communication and rapport-building skills
  • Terrific listener with the ability to think on your feet
  • Have an empathetic approach with a calm disposition
  • Proven conflict resolution abilities under pressure
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with moving targets
  • Experience in earth-moving or automotive would be highly regarded (if you have a mechanical trade, even better)
  • Experience working with various computer systems – financial and operational
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skill
  • Willing to go the extra mile to get a “winning” result for all
