William Adams is on the lookout for a qualified technician to join our New Equipment Workshop in Laverton on a 5 days on / 2 days off (Monday – Friday) roster.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting in new machine build up and warranty work on Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Having a strong commitment to safety, health, and environmental procedures
• Assist with the pre-delivery build-up and modification of machinery and equipment.
• Work alongside a high-performing, enthusiastic team who are passionate about the gear they work on
• Provide quality customer service by ensuring all new equipment is ready for delivery by the nominated delivery schedule.

ABOUT YOU

You will ideally have the following skills, experience, and attributes:

• Australian recognised Trade Certificate, Plant Mechanic, Automotive Heavy Vehicle, Diesel Mechanic, LV Mechanics also considered with relevant experience.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude or mechanical experience
• Exposure working in a similar service environment or mining
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
• Some familiarity with Cat machinery and computer diagnostics (highly regarded)
• Highly developed communication skills
