William Adams Cat are on the lookout for an experienced and qualified Resident/Field Service Diesel Technician. This is an autonomous and fast paced role that will see you based in Echuca and primarily be responsible for servicing the greater region. You may be required to work away from home occasionally dependent on business requirements. This role will see you reporting through to the branch manager in our Swan Hill branch.

A typical day for a Resident/Field Service Technician will include:

• Providing excellent customer service to our customers
• Trouble shooting, repairs (same day) and maintenance on various Cat equipment
• Travel to and from customers sites
• Ensuring accurate service reports are completed in a timely manner
• Effectively managing all parts requirements - orders and credits  
• Compliance with all company safety, health and environment procedures

ABOUT YOU 
 

To be considered for this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Be a qualified Diesel Technician with extensive experience with Caterpillar machines (or similar)
• Have advanced mechanical diagnostic skills
• Enjoy working on own and thinking on your feet
• Hold a current Drivers and Light Rigid Licence (heavy vehicle licence is also highly regarded)
• Proven ability to be self-motivated, a self-starter and to work unsupervised
• Working knowledge of Caterpillar parts and service systems & computer diagnostics
• Be able to service customers and their equipment to a very high standard
• Have the skills to follow the job the whole way through from booking to invoicing as you will be the primary contact in the Bendigo area
