ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Technician with a background in agricultural machinery with a particular focus on tractors, combines, haytools and tillage equipment to work from our busy Shepparton branch.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Carrying out workshop repairs and maintenance on a full range of agricultural equipment
Completion of all paperwork relating to the completion of jobs, including time sheets, service reports, test sheets, JSEA / HIRA and expense vouchers
Providing quality customer service at all times, and acting as a focal point for customer queries
Assisting with the preparation of quotes and estimates
Assisting with machine demonstrations and Field Days as required.
To be considered for this role we are looking for the following skills, experience & attributes:
Legally entitled to live & work in Australia
Qualified Diesel Technician
Minimum 2 years post trade experience
Strong mechanical ability essential
Experience in mechanical diagnosis, servicing and repairs of agricultural equipment
Flexibility to work in other areas of the Service Department as the work demand requires
Committed to delivering superior customer service
Proactive with a can-do attitude
Proven ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team
Reliable & punctual
Physically able to lift manually 20kgs, drive and operate plant & machinery, work in varied conditions (outdoors, heat, dust, cold etc), sit/stand for extended periods
A strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures
High risk Licence - Dogging and Forklift
Good computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Current Drivers Licence
Working knowledge of parts & service systems
Previous supervision or mentoring of trades assistants/apprentices
