ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for machining engine components on a wide range of heavy Diesel engine components of all makes and models, while working in a small team to provide the high quality product and customer service we pride our selves on.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Carrying out machining process’ on cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, crankshafts, connecting rods etc of earthmoving, construction, mining, power Generation, marine and agricultural Engines, as well as general machining tasks.
Completion of all paperwork relating to the completion of jobs
Troubleshooting of machine / component problems
To be considered for this role we are looking for the following skills, experience & attributes:
Machinist trade qualification
Reliable & punctual
Physically able to lift manually 20kgs, drive and operate plant & machinery, work in varied conditions (outdoors, heat, dust, cold etc), sit/stand for extended periods
A strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures
Previous supervision or mentoring of trades assistants/apprentices
Good computer skills
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Current Drivers Licence
