Field Service Diesel Technician (7x7 Roster)

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Diesel Technician to work as part of our busy Field Service Team on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster.

  

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

Reporting to the Team Leader you will be carrying out and/or assisting with the repairs and maintenance of Caterpillar equipment whilst maintaining a safe working environment for all colleagues and ensuring customer satisfaction & value for money.

 

Key responsibilities of this role include:

    • Providing excellent customer service 
    • Trouble shooting & repairs of Caterpillar earthmoving equipment
    • Ensuring appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) are applied at all times
    • Comply with all company safety, health & environment procedures

 

ABOUT YOU 

 

To be considered for this role we are looking for the following skills, experience & attributes:

 

Essential requirements:

  • Qualified Diesel Technician
  • Experience in mechanical diagnosis, servicing and repairs
  • Committed to delivering superior customer service
  • Physically able to lift manually 20kgs, drive and operate plant & machinery, work in varied conditions (outdoors, heat, dust, cold etc), sit/stand for extended periods
  • A strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures

 Desirable requirements: 

  • Familiarity of Caterpillar computer diagnostics
  • Air Conditioning Licence
  • High Risk Licence – Dogging and Forklift
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • DBS, SupportPoint and/or SIS experience is highly regarded
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Working knowledge of parts & service systems
  • Previous supervision or mentoring of trades assistants/apprentices
