Product Support Manager - Metro Field Service

We have an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced Manager to take on the vital position of Product Support Manager – Metro Field Service.




Reporting to the Product Support Operations Manager - Metro Victoria, based at our Field Service Support centre in Clayton, you will be a passionate and motivating leader. You will be responsible for leading a dedicated group of individuals approaching 70 people that works with a number of internal and external stakeholders to always ‘Be the Customer Needs’. 


You will have responsibility for the overall Metro Field Service team, which includes:

  • Metro Field Service operations (based out of Clayton and Laverton)
  • Power Systems service operations
  • Metro Lube Truck operations
  • Resident Field Service Technicians (based out of Ballarat, Geelong, Bendigo, Kilmore and Launching Place)
  • Administration, Service and Support team

Key responsibilities of this role are to:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Be hands on in driving a positive safety and Contamination Control culture
  • Lead and motivate a large team to work together in achieving business results
  • Responsibility for profitability and strategic growth of the Metro Field Service department
  • Maintain and foster a cohesive working relationship between Metro Field Service Group along with all key departments



To be considered for this role we are looking for the following skills, experience & attributes:

  • Proven experience in a similar leadership role and industry
  • Ability to develop long term internal and external customer relationships
  • Solid project, people, administration and commercial management skills
  • Sound conflict resolution, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Mechanical understanding/ comprehension of CAT products and services
  • Intermediate/ Advanced skills in Microsoft office and knowledge or understanding of CAT software programs would be advantageous.
