We are currently on the lookout for an enthusiastic and motivated Field Service Diesel Technician to work out of our Clayton branch.  This is a full-time permanent position, working either a 7 x 7 (Wednesday to Tuesday, 12 hours per day) or 5 x 2 days (Monday - Friday) on off roster.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will provide same day, safe breakdown repair services for our customer’s onsite equipment. 

What a typical day will look like in the position:

• Onsite technical trouble-shooting and fault find ability including; diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on Cat equipment and their components; hydraulics, transmissions and engines   
• Compiling and completing accurate reporting
• Providing excellent customer service to our customers on all occasions
• Liaising with our internal service and parts department when required
• To care for and maintain a William Adams service vehicle

ABOUT YOU 

What skills and experience we are looking for:

• A fully qualified Diesel Technician with practical experience in the field
• Experience with Cat computer diagnostics (great to have)
• A can-do positive attitude
• Previous experience working on Cat machinery
• Effective time management
• A strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures
• Current drivers’ licence (must have)

WHAT IS ON OFFER... an attractive salary package including a base rate between $39 - $48 per hour (dependent on roster and skill level), super, a field service vehicle, an RDO is applicable, tool allowances and reasonable overtime (plenty on offer).  We also offer tool loans, tool insurance and Cat parts store discounts.
