William Adams Cat are on the lookout for an experienced and qualified Resident Field Service Diesel Technician.

A typical day of a Resident Technician will include:

• Providing excellent customer service to our customers
• Trouble shooting, repairs (same day) and maintenance on various Cat equipment
• Travel to and from customers sites
• Ensuring accurate service reports are completed in a timely manner
• Effectively managing all parts requirements - orders and credits  
• Compliance with all company safety, health and environment procedures

ABOUT YOU 

 To be considered for this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Be a qualified Diesel Technician with extensive experience with Caterpillar machines (or similar)
• Have advanced mechanical diagnostic skills
• Have the skills to follow the job the whole way through from booking to invoicing as you will be the primary contact in the Ballarat area
• Be able to service customers and their equipment to a very high standard
• Enjoy working on own and thinking on your feet
• Hold a current Drivers and Light Rigid Licence (heavy vehicle licence is also highly regarded)
• Proven ability to be self-motivated, a self-starter and to work unsupervised
• Working knowledge of Caterpillar parts and service systems & computer diagnostics

WE WILL OFFER YOU... an attractive salary package, including a base rate of between $35.00 to $40.00 per hour (dependent on skill level) plus super, as well as a weekly Resident Field Service allowance, fully equipped service vehicle, iPhone, laptop, PPE and uniform. Reasonable overtime is also available.
