William Adams Cat are on the lookout for an experienced and qualified Resident Field Service Diesel Technician. If you enjoy the challenge of delivering outstanding customer service and problem solving, while ensuring value for money for our customers, this could be a perfect fit for you. A typical day of a Resident Technician will include: - Providing excellent customer service to our customers
- Trouble shooting, repairs (same day) and maintenance on various Cat equipment
- Travel to and from customers sites
- Ensuring accurate service reports are completed in a timely manner
- Effectively managing all parts requirements - orders and credits
- Compliance with all company safety, health and environment procedures
ABOUT YOU To be considered for this role you will have the following skills and attributes: - Be a qualified Diesel Technician with extensive experience with Caterpillar machines (or similar)
- Have advanced mechanical diagnostic skills
- Have the skills to follow the job the whole way through from booking to invoicing as you will be the primary contact in the Ballarat area
- Be able to service customers and their equipment to a very high standard
- Enjoy working on own and thinking on your feet
- Hold a current Drivers and Light Rigid Licence (heavy vehicle licence is also highly regarded)
- Proven ability to be self-motivated, a self-starter and to work unsupervised
- Working knowledge of Caterpillar parts and service systems & computer diagnostics
WE WILL OFFER YOU... an attractive salary package, including a base rate of between $35.00 to $40.00 per hour (dependent on skill level) plus super, as well as a weekly Resident Field Service allowance, fully equipped service vehicle, iPhone, laptop, PPE and uniform. Reasonable overtime is also available.
